Endowed with so many tourist attractions, Namibia is one of the most popular safari destination in the southern Africa.
The huge number of attractions is itself a great challenge to many time constrained visitors.

1.) Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park is the largest game reserve of Namibia. The park spreads over an area of 22,000 square kilometres with Etosha pan, a stunning feature of the park, sitting on a 130 kilometres long by 50 kilometres wide parcel of land. Etosha National Park is home to 2,000 elephants, 300 rhinos, 250 lions, 6,000 zebras, 2,500 giraffes, over 20,000 dainty springbok, impala, flamingoes and other animal species.
2.) Swakopmund
Located 280 kilometres from Windhoek the capital of Namibia, Swakopmund is one of the country’s most premier tourist destinations. While on travel to Namibia, you should plan a trip to this coastal city whose major attractions include the National Marine Aquarium, Altes Gefängnis Prison, Wörmannhaus, a museum and a gallery.
3.) Fish River Canyon
With a length of 160 kilometres, a width of 27 kilometres and a depth of 550 metres, the Fish River Canyon is the largest canyon in Africa. While on travel to Namibia, you can plan a quick trip to the canyon. Here, you can engage in an 85-kilometre Fish River Canyon Trail from Hobas to Ai-Ais. And if time allows, you can also take a one or two-day trip in several points inside the massive canyon.
4.) Namib-Naukluft Park
Sitting on a 50,000 square kilometres piece of land, the Namib-Naukluft Park is among the largest game reserves in Africa. The park, which also covers the Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park, Namib Desert Park and some sections of the Diamond area, is so popular among tourists. Attractions here include the Sandwich Harbour, the sand dunes of Sossusvlei and strange plants and animals such as lichens, Welwitschia Mirabilis and Hartmann’s mountain zebras.
5.) Waterberg Plateau Park
The Waterberg Plateau Park, located 68 kilometres east of Otjiwarongo, is an ideal destination for game viewing. The 405.5 square kilometres park is part of the Waterberg Plateau which towers some 200 metres above the surrounding area. The park is home to an incredibly huge array of wildlife, including some of the rare and vulnerable species of antelope, birds, rhinos, buffalo and sable.
